May 28, 1931: "The equipment of the forest service was increased Thursday when two new trail builders were received for this section. These machines are known as bull dozers and are Cleatrac tractors. They are equipped with a hoist and a blade similar to a grader. They can be used for road building on almost any percent grade.

February 23, 1932: "Spent day helping set poles for telephone line from Montague to new Paradise Lookout. Continued same for next four days. Tied into new lookout house on Saturday, September 27th." (Chronological History of the Klamath National Forest, Vol. IV, 1931-1940)
1942: The Aircraft Warning Service used the lookout station as an observation post.
November 5, 1948: "Mrs. E. E. Boehm, who has just finished a lookout season on Paradise Craggy out of Yreka was a visitor in town Monday." (The Dunsmuir News)
