November 7, 1938: "Fanned by winds which at times attained a velocity of 75 miles an hour, scores of grass and brush fires broke out in various sections of northern San Diego county today and in the area between Tijuana and Ensenada, Lower California.
Homes of many ranchers were endangered by the swiftly rushing flames. Windows in the ranger lookout station at Boucher were blown out by the high winds." (The San Bernardino County Sun)
