October 20, 1938: "Lewis Page and wife, who have been at the Fox Mountain Lookout this summer have moved to Adin and are living in the little cottage which Mrs. Traugh has had made out of her wash house in the rear of her dwelling." (Weekly Adin Argus)
August 3, 1939: "Henry K. Keene, Fire Guard at the Fox Mountain Lookout, announces the arrival of a baby girl, Patricia Fay, in his household on June 30th. The baby and mother are getting along nicely. Mrs. Keene accompanied her husband to Alturas this week." (Weekly Adin Argus)
August 5, 1943: "A big U.S. bombing plane crashed about one mile north of Nubieber in the direction of Lookout. It caught fire in the air according to report of Mrs. Ross, forest lookout and in a few moments took a nose dive straight for the ground. It is estimated there were nine to fourteen people on the plane. The accident happened about eleven o'clock last night." (Weekly Adin Argus)

1946: During the period of 1942 through 1946 this lookout made 22 first discoveries.
June 13, 1947: "Fox Mountain Lookout -- Generally in good condition. One window light broken due to improperly fastened shutter. Broken light significant in this due to lack of workmanlike maintenance job on shutters. None of the shutter bolts work satisfactorily. Faulty installations and fixtures originally due to poor design should be corrected by maintenance man as preventative measures without waiting for damage to occur. Let's correct obviously poorly conceived and impermanent shutter fasteners and other design oversights in the course of periodic maintenance and before actual failure." (Inspection Report)
June 19, 1947: "Ben Bath, of Adin, will be stationed at the forest service lookout on Fox Mountain." (Weekly Adin Argus)

THE STATION IS LOCATED ON THE NORTHWEST SUMMIT OF FOX MOUNTAIN.
IT IS ABOUT 9 MILES AIRLINE NORTH NORTHEAST OF BIEBER, ABOUT
6-1/2 MILES AIRLINE NORTHEAST OF LOOKOUT AND ABOUT 4 MILES
AIRLINE NORTHWEST OF ADIN. IT IS A STANDARD FOREST SERVICE
LOOKOUT HOUSE THAT IS SUPPORTED BY A 15 FOOT TOWER. THE LIVING
QUARTERS FOR THE LOOKOUT PERSONNEL IS IN THE ROOM FORMED
BY THE BASE OF THE TOWER. THE TOWER AND HOUSE ARE PAINTED
WHITE. GOOD FOREST SERVICE ROADS LEAD TO THE STATION FROM
THE TOWN OF ADIN.
