October 14, 1915: "Mr. Corey and wife are still up at the U. S. lookout on Craggie. He reported a fire in the neighborhood of Granite Creek. U. S. Ranger Williams and State Firewarden Chamberlain were soon on the spot and put it out." (Siskiyou Daily News)
