TULELAKE NATIONAL WILDLIFE REFUGE
Siskiyou County
May 5, 1937: "Workmen are dismantling the big steel tower at the biological survey headquarters on the west side of Tule lake. This tower, which was used by game agents to watch for poachers on the bird reserve, will be moved to the Upper Klamath lake reserve and utilized there for the same purpose. A lookout is to be established on the natural bluff behind the station on Tule lake. CCC laborers are to build a trail to this lookout, and visitors who mount this trail will be given a wide view of the Tule lake basin and surrounding highlands." (The Evening Herald)
