June 22, 1928: "Forest Supervisor E.F. Smith, Ranger R.C.M. Berriman and Sam Bisrop foreman of the road crew, have just completed a survey for a road from Cerle meadows to the top of Bunker Hill, about 3 1/2 miles. When the road is completed, a lookout will be established on this mountain." (Mountain Democrat)
