July 10, 1996: "Recreational Equipment Inc. (REI) in Citrus Heights and the El Dorado National Forest are seeking volunteers to participate in the Robb's Peak Mountain Hut and Lookout Service project on Saturday, Aug. 3." (The Orangevale News)
February 18, 1987: "A former lookout station located atop 6,686-foot Robbs Peak in the Eldorado National Forest will be available for use as a mountain hut following a two day open house to be held on Feb. 21 and 22 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.
