August 2, 1931: "Lookout Crouse of Trinity summit reports his little girl getting along as well as could be expected. Her leg was broken when she was thrown from a saddle horse near the station and she was taken to a Eureka hospital." (The Searchlight)
October 2, 1932: "Early Thursday morning carpenters, Ed Wyllie, Marvin Goodyear and Willard Tallman, left for trinity summit, where they will build a cabin and barn for the lookout-patrolman." (The Searchlight)
October 31, 1932: "Ed Wylie and Marvin Goodyear, forest service carpenters, came in Tuesday evening from Trinity Summit, where they completed a barn and lookout patrol cabin. They report zero weather at the high elevations." (Courier-Free Press)
