August 29, 1941: "Ranger John Monday believes in letting the water do the running, so Sheetiron lookout, at an elevation of 6,500 feet goes "streamlined" with a stream of sparkling spring water running through a 500 foot pipe line right into the lookoutman's kitchen. To assist the water in running up-hill, there's a salvaged gas engine, and a 500 gallon "prohi" tank provides storage of ample water for every need. All the lookout lacks to make a penthouse deluxe is "Smoky" Henry's electric power plant paraphernalia which he demonstrated successfully last season at Hull Mt.
