September 26, 1915: "Luther S. York, lookout on Harvey Mt. has resigned. Earl Slater has taken his place for the remainder of the season." (Red Bluff Daily News)
June 14, 1937: "Harvey Mountain, federal lookout, was on the job last Saturday in the Termo district where the disastrous fire burned out George Wood's properties. Mountain, sighted the blaze from his high station, about 30 miles airline, from Termo, at 11:30 a.m. The fire it was later reported had started about 11:15. At 11:33 Mountain called State Ranger J.W. Nevius at the state division of forestry in Susanville and within one hour and 20 minutes the equipment was at the scene, making record time over the 64 miles from Susanville headquarters to Termo."
